You can call it recycling, you can call it up-cyclying, just don’t call it rubbish!  This lovely pair of Christian Louboutins is exclusive to Barneys New York.  They are made using a unique selection of Barneys’ materials … in other words, upper class jargon for garbage!

Dubbed “Barneys Trash,” each pair is a covered in PVC-coated couture trash in a peep toe style with metallic platform and elastic sling back heel.  Normally a pair of shoes made from discards may not fetch much on the open market, but of course those signature red leather soles come with a price tag.  $995 to be exact.

Is this a Ponzi scheme or is there really gold in Barneys’ waste bin?
